I was born and raised in Dunlap, TN and am the youngest of 5 children. I went to a 3 room school for the first 8 years and later graduated from Sequatchie County High School. My parents were both teachers as was my brother who is now Principal at Sequatchie County High School and Vice President of the TSSAA. My sisters live at the old homeplace and my other brother was an engineer with the state of Tennessee for 45 years. My siblings and I have never missed a Christmas dinner together and are still extremely close!
I am the proud parent of 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. My parents were big proponents of a good education and always preached education into us as children.
